Hello, Aria! Welcome to planDisney!
Your
Walt Disney World Resort visit is days away; how exciting! To make sure you can plan your visit to where the impossible becomes possible, let’s get right to it!
You do not need to buy your ticket to
EPCOT (or any other Disney World theme parks) in advance. However, I would recommend doing so, and here’s why...
date-based tickets no longer require a park reservation, but it is still recommended that you check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability site to see what parks are available during your visit as the ability to visit a park is subject to capacity limits. For example, if you were to purchase a 1-day ticket theme park ticket, you would be required to select the date of your visit and the park you would like to visit (basically creating a reservation). There is a chance, if you wait, that the park you would like to visit will not be available, although this is typically only the case during busy times of the year, such as spring break or the holiday season. Given the timing of your visit, you may want to consider buying your ticket in advance to secure your ability to ride things like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind,
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, or
Frozen Ever After.
While we are on attractions at EPCOT, did you know your visit coincides with the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival? I was fortunate enough to visit the festival's first weekend and thoroughly enjoyed trying the various food and drink options available. It was also great to explore the topiaries, the Butterfly Landing, and try to find Spike the Bee along his pollination trail.
I hope this helps answer your question, Aria. If you have any additional questions, like what some of the best adult beverages are or which snacks to wait in line for,
ask me directly. I love sharing my favorites with fellow Disney vacationers.
Enjoy,
Brent
