Hello there, Bradley! Welcome to planDisney, where my pals and I are happy to see you sail our way.
It looks like you'll be onboard your Disney Cruise soon. Here's a handy
packing checklist to review as you prepare to zip up your suitcases and head out for adventure. If you are currently scheduled for the second dinner seating and would like to request a change to the first dinner seating, you may add yourself to the waitlist. Your preferred seating can be requested under 'My Reservations' on ‘My Disney Cruise’ after signing into your Disney Account on the Disney Cruise Line Website or through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, with requests subject to availability.
Once you are onboard the ship, you can view your assigned seating time and restaurant rotation within the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. If your preferred seating time is not available, you can speak with a Crew Member at Guest Services to let them know that you would still like to be on the waitlist in case something becomes available. I know that some families have been offered the opportunity to change their dining times on the first or second night of the sailing as availability allows.
If you are sailing with children, Disney Cruise Line just reinstated their Dine and Play program, where children can be checked in with a Crew Member from
Disney's Oceaneer Club at a designated spot in the restaurant during the second dinner seating. Children can be served fairly quickly and then whisked away to play while adults linger over their meal. It's a great compromise for families with little ones and a later dining time.
Bradley, I hope everything works out perfectly for you and your sailing crew on your upcoming vacation. Have a magical time!
