Welcome to planDisney, Racheal! On behalf of all of us here at planDisney, thank you for your family member's service to our nation! Also, thank you for your question!
Rachael, the only one who will need to show
military I.D. at Guest Relations will be the family member who purchased the tickets or their spouse. They will also need to have the exchange certificates that they purchased to activate all the tickets purchased within the travel party. Once this has been completed, you will no longer need I.D. to enter the theme parks. He can do this at any of the Guest Relations offices at the four theme parks, or Guest Relations at Disney Springs. I suggest doing this the day before you start your park days (unless you plan on going to a park on your arrival day) to avoid standing in line the morning of, and you can get into the parks without making a pit stop!
Another suggestion I want to make is when he is activating the tickets, to ask about the military discount offered for
MemoryMaker! It is a great deal for service members and gives you all the photos you take with Disney PhotoPass photographers, plus the photos from the rides and attractions you participate in. Keep in mind that you will have
45 days from the day of your visit to download your photos unless you purchase an expiration extension, then you will have 60 days.
I hope you and your family have the most magical, pixie-dusted visit to
Walt Disney World Resort, Racheal! Enjoy making magical memories, eating all the snacks, and please say hi to my pal, Mickey for me!
