Hi Karyn!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
Like you, I have some older non-expiration tickets (aren’t those the best?!). And from my experience, yes! You will need to make park reservations when using that ticket type.
If your ticket is already linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can
make your park reservations at this link. As you go through the prompts when making your park reservation, you will choose the specific ticket you want to use for that park reservation.
If your ticket is not linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can try to link it online or by using your My Disney Experience app.
To do so on
Disney World’s website, click the My Disney Experience button, then scroll down to hover over Park Tickets and click Link Tickets. On your
My Disney Experience app, you’ll click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner, then scroll down to click Link to Account.
In my case, my tickets were so old that I wasn’t able to link them to my account. Instead, I needed to
convert them into tickets I could use today by calling Disney. So, if you’re having any trouble linking your ticket or making your park reservation, I’d
contact Disney via phone. If you happen to be at Disney World, you can also visit a theme park ticket window for assistance.
It’s good to note that park reservations are pending availability, so I recommend making your park reservation as soon as you can!
I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you plan your day at
Epcot, let us know!
