Welcome back to planDisney Carol,
I am as happy as can be that you stopped in to ask this great question. As someone that spends an awful lot of her day playing taxicab, I understand wanting a break from driving duties while on vacation.
I have great news!
Walt Disney World Resort makes it super easy to skip the rental car and leave the driving to them. If you are arriving at Orlando International Airport, you will have a number of options to get you from the airport to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. One of the most popular options is Mears Connect. This is the same company that previously operated Disney's Magical Express, so they certainly know the route to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Advanced reservations are strongly suggested and they offer two price options depending on the service you select.
During your stay, you can use the various modes of complimentary
Resort Transportation throughout your stay. Depending on which resort you have staying at, and where you are headed, you will have a variety of buses, monorails, skyliners, boats and even pedestrian walkways to move you merrily along. Not only does this leave the driving to others, but we actually enjoy the various transportation options and the Cast Members that operate them. We love ending our day with a round of Disney trivia or a fun sing-a-long while our driver cruises us back to our resort.
The wheels on the bus may go round and round, but while you are on vacation, someone else will be steering them if you prefer. If you need assistance with any additional planning questions, I hope you will stop back and
see me.
T-T-F-N (Ta-Ta for now),
Margaret
