Hi Joanna!
Welcome to planDisney! I am also an
Annual Passholder and just went through the renewal process. Currently, with Covid-19 safety measures in place and limits on park capacity, the
Walt Disney World Resort is not selling new Annual Passes. Current Passholders can renew upon request if they are within their renewal window. You may renew your Walt Disney World Annual Pass 60 days before or 30 days after expiration.
Walt Disney World Annual Passes did have their expiration dates extended several months due to the prolonged closure of the Walt Disney World Resort in 2020. Annual Passes were extended the number of days the theme parks were closed, and then an additional month was added as well. My Annual Pass was originally scheduled to expire in late October but was extended until March. With all the changes to expiration, and with limiting new sales, while I did receive a notice of the extensions, I don’t believe I received a renewal notice this year either. It is possible reminders were not sent.
Depending on when you purchased your Annual Pass, you may still be within the validity window or able to renew if your Annual Pass expired within the past 30 days. You can always check the status of your Annual Pass on
My Disney Experience on your desktop or mobile app and it should show your validity date. If you are within 30 days of when your pass expired, you will be allowed to renew. If it is more than 30 days, unfortunately, you will have to wait until Annual Pass sales have resumed and purchase a new Walt Disney World Annual Pass.
Crossing my fingers you are still within the renewal window, Joanna! Please let us know if you have any additional questions we can help with.
