Do I need to purchase tickets before I reserve our day at the park?

Hello there, Jackie! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this fall!

Guests are invited to return to the magic as Walt Disney World Resort reopens to the public! During our more recent visits, we have been delighted by the number of changes in place that prioritize the safety of all Guests while still providing the experiences we know and love! During your upcoming visit, you can look forward to such changes as enhanced cleaning procedures across the property, temporary adjustments to promote physical distancing, and modified experiences to reduce contact. Additionally, Guests ages 2 and up are also required to wear face coverings throughout their visit and undergo temperature screenings at some locations.

Another important change to keep in mind is the need to have theme park reservations prior to entering any of the four theme parks. Guests will need to purchase their theme park tickets and connect them to their My Disney Experience account before they can make their selections through the Disney Park Pass system.

Once this has been done, you will be able to create your party from your Family & Friends list, select the date and theme park you would like to visit and confirm your selections! It is also highly recommended that you check out the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar online before purchasing tickets. This way, you can verify that there is availability in the theme parks you would like to visit during your selected travel dates!

I hope this information assists you in planning the perfect visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you as you continue to plan!
