Hi, Stefani! Welcome to planDisney.
If you’re planning to visit
Biergarten Restaurant at EPCOT, all Guests with reservations are required to purchase the full buffet—even if you’re just in the mood for drinks. This helps keep the experience as lively and immersive as a German festival, complete with hearty food, music, and fun! Although the food isn't my favorite cuisine, my wife and I had a great meal here. The show itself makes it worth the price of admission.
If you simply want to soak up the atmosphere of the German pavilion, without committing to a full feast, there are other great options!
Sommerfest, a charming quick-service spot, serves up delicious German beers and snacks in a more laid-back setting. No reservations, no buffet—just tasty treats and refreshing drinks. I like to share a Jumble Pretzel and wash it down with a tasty Warsteiner Dunkel.
And since you're visiting during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, be sure to check out the Germany pavilion’s
food studio. It offers seasonal sips and small bites, giving you a little taste of Germany without a full meal commitment.
I hope that's helpful, Stefani. I trust you'll have a wonderful time. Auf Wiedersehen!
Mike
