Welcome to planDisney, Juan! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. Planning a dining reservation to line up with fireworks viewing is a great idea. There are a couple things to keep in mind when making your booking, so let's chat about them!
If you want your dinner at
'Ohana to coincide with a showing of
Happily Ever After, I recommend making your reservation around an hour ahead of the start of the show. As I'm sure you can imagine, pretty much everyone eating dinner at this time wants a great seat for the fireworks, so there isn't a way to guarantee a spot near the window but you can always request it. The best way to do this is to arrive around 30 minutes before your reservation and let the Cast Member at the check-in desk know that you'd like a seat with a view of the fireworks and that you're prepared to wait for it. If you're flexible with your seating time and you're willing to wait a bit past your reservation time, you may get the result you're looking for!
Another option is booking your dinner slightly earlier, and then taking advantage of the great viewing from the beach at the
Polynesian. The soundtrack from Happily Ever After gets pumped to the resort's speaker system so you can catch the show with the music! Watching the fireworks with a Dole Whip from
Pineapple Lanai is a quintessential Disney experience.
I hope this answers your question, Juan, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
