Hello! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, friend! I'm glad you're here, and I'm happy to help you with this question. I love having a
Walt Disney World vacation booked for January, because it helps with all the post-holiday blues. Let's talk about choosing a resort for your group!
Disney's Pop Century Resort is a hidden gem, in my opinion. It's a value resort with a great food court, fun themed swimming pools, and access to
Disney's Skyliner! Unfortunately, Pop Century does not offer any family suites, so multiple rooms would be your only option.
If you are looking for a family suite at a value resort, check out
Disney's All-Star Music Resort and
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. I have had great experiences at both of these resort hotels, and I love the family suite option. While they officially sleep six, it might be a bit tight with 5 adults. There is one separate bedroom with one queen-size bed, and the other guests sleep in the common area that has one pull-down bed and one sleeper sofa. It's perfect for a family of five or six with multiple children.
To price a reservation at Pop Century, go to the Walt Disney World website and choose Places to Stay from the choices at the top. Enter your dates and the number of people in your first room. Scroll down and select Pop Century Resort, then choose the room type based on your view and location preferences. From there, you will be able to see your total and add things like theme park tickets or a Disney Dining Plan. You can even make multiple carts so you can compare prices with different packages.
At checkout, there is an option to make room requests. This is where you can note that you want to be near the others in your party and even request connecting rooms. If you have any difficulty, you can call
Walt Disney World Resort Tickets and Hotel Reservations, and a Cast Member will be happy to assist you.
One more tip: Keep an eye on the
Special Offers, Packages, and More page. If an offer becomes available that fits your dates, you can call Disney and have it applied to your reservation. I suspect deals for January will be released in the coming weeks, but Disney has made no announcement, so it's impossible to say for sure.
I hope this is helpful, friend, and that you get that magical vacation booked soon! Remember that
planDisney is here for you every step of the way. Please let us know if you have any more questions!
