Do I need physical tickets or just the bar code given?

    Heigh-Ho Jessica,

Welcome to planDisney, we, just like you are a Disney-loving group of Disney Guests representing all walks of life. And we are here to help guide you through your planning questions and curiouser and curiouser inquiries.

Guests, visiting Walt Disney World, should consider making a My Disney Experience profile and downloading the mobile app. This is your Walt Disney World vacation hub where you have control of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, can purchase, link and assign your Walt Disney World Tickets, make Disney Park Pass reservations, access Disney MagicMobile service (on your mobile app only), observe current wait times at the attractions, reserve advanced dining reservation, make mobile food order selections and that just a small look into the endless magic you can have at your fingertips. I highly recommend Guests take the time and learn to navigate both My Disney Experience online and especially on your mobile app.

Guests, planning on visiting a Walt Disney World Theme Park, will need a Disney Park Pass reservation as well as a MagicBand, Key to the World Card or create a Disney MagicMobile digital pass to enter one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks. All of these options can be used to scan at an access point before entering. On your My Disney Experience mobile app, in the bottom right-hand corner, tap on the menu button and select Tickets and Passes. Here you can link your tickets by selecting the “+” symbol in the upper right-hand corner and then choose Link Tickets and Passes. Next, you will be prompted to scan the barcode and then assign your tickets to those you are traveling with. Once they are linked and if you are using an Apple device, soon this will be offered on Android devices, head back to the menu button and select Disney’s MagicMobile. You will then follow all prompts to create a digital pass for your tickets, where they will be stored in your Apple Wallet. Your Apple device will be your ticket to scan at the access point upon entry. But if you choose to forgo using My Disney Experience then you will need to head to a Guest Relations/Ticket Counter before entering your first Walt Disney World Theme Park. Bring your confirmation email or have access to your barcode so a Cast Member can scan it. Each Guest will be assigned a hard ticket called a Key to The World. This card will be used for the entirety of your stay to enter the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
