I need to pay the difference between tier 1 and 2 so i can change my reservation

Hi Aubrey, and welcome to planDisney!

I’m so happy to help you switch your park dates. There’s nothing like ensuring every Disney day is perfectly aligned for maximum magic!

Luckily, modifying your park reservation and upgrading your ticket is a fairly simple process thanks to the Disneyland app. Start by tapping the menu button (that’s the three-lined icon, also known as the "hamburger menu") in the bottom right corner of the app. From there, select “My Tickets & Passes” and locate the ticket you want to modify. If eligible, you should see an option to change your reservation date or upgrade your ticket. Follow the prompts to select your new date and complete the process.

If you happen to run into any technical glitches, or if you’d just feel more comfortable having a friendly Cast Member lend a hand, you can always reach out to the Disneyland Ticket Services team. They’ll be happy to assist you with your ticket upgrade or reservation adjustment. One very important tip: before making any changes, I strongly recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. I’d hate for you to cancel your current reservation only to discover that your new date has already filled up. A quick peek at the calendar can save you from a major planning hiccup!

I also wanted to mention a helpful detail if your ticket is a multi-day ticket. Multi-day tickets work a little differently than single-day tickets and are not subject to the tier system. That means you don’t have to worry about which tier your ticket falls under for a specific date. Multi-day tickets do not have to be used on consecutive days, but they do expire 13 days after their first use or on January 12, 2026, whichever comes first.

If your visit happens to fall between now and April 21, you’re in for a delicious bonus: the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! This is hands-down one of my favorite times to visit the resort. Disney California Adventure transforms into a foodie paradise, filled with marketplace booths serving up creative dishes inspired by the flavors of California. The official Foodie Guide was recently released, and it’s brimming with tempting bites. from the always-popular Snickers Macaron to mouthwatering new creations. I highly recommend setting aside some time to stroll, snack, and sip your way through the festival. It’s the ultimate culinary adventure!

I hope this helps, Aubrey! If you have any other questions, please stop by and see us again at planDisney.

Wishing you a magical visit filled with delicious discoveries,

    David
