Do I need passports for myself/spouse and kids (oldest) age 11 or can I bring Drivers License and Birth Certificates for my husband and I and Birth Certificates for my kids? We are going on a 4-night cruise that stops in Cozumel. Thank you!

    Ahoy Mary Ann!
I'm glad to hear you are taking advantage of having a piece of Disney in your home state of Texas!  Your four-night sailing will be fabulous as you will get to see all that Disney offers on the high seas!
Since you are cruising from a U.S. home port and back, your cruise is considered a closed-loop sailing which means birth certificates and driver's licenses are acceptable forms of identification.  Disney Cruise Line does recommend passports for all Guests in the event of an unexpected emergency.  Since passports are required for air travel, if something unforeseen does occur, you won't be able to return to the states via an airplane.  My advice is to read over the Passport Information provided on the Disney Cruise Line website so you can make the best decision for your crew!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question, Mary Ann!  Please let me know if you think of anything else before your magical voyage begins!
    Bon Voyage!
