Welcome aboard, Aiden! Isn't it exciting to be planning such a magical adventure at sea and to beautiful ports of call with Disney? No matter if you're enjoying a luxurious Western Caribbean sailing that includes a port day in Cozumel, Mexico, or you're venturing off the West Coast to the
Mexican Riviera, all of these Mexican ports of call offer fabulous
Port Adventures for your family!
Please check out the
Passports and Travel Documents page so you know the details of what is required to sail with Disney. If you're sailing on a round trip cruise from a U.S. port and you are a U.S. citizen, you can bring either a passport or instead simply bring your government-issued i.d. (driver's license) along with a state-issued birth certificate. Children under 16 only need their state-issued birth certificates. However, I highly recommend that you travel with passports if at all possible. My family and I appreciate the additional security and peace of mind that a passport offers when we sail. If we found ourselves in an unforseen emergency or with a medical problem in a foreign port of call, we could more easily travel home with our passports.
When you leave the ship in port, you'll need to have your identification that I mentioned above as well as your Key To The World Card to scan on the way off the ship and on the way back on. This way, Disney knows that everyone has returned to the ship.
I hope that helps as you plan this magical cruise voyage, Aiden! Please stop back with any other questions before you set sail! We're happy to help!
