Anchors aweigh, Kristin!
Thanks for cruising by planDisney! Disney Cruise Line vacations are amazing and make planning your adventure so simple, so let's get to your very important question so you can be on your way.
The answer to your question depends on the
itinerary you are hoping to book. For itineraries originating or ending in a country other than the United States, all Guests will need a valid passport. If you are planning a "closed loop" cruise, that begins and ends at the same US port, you are not required to have a passport. Guests over the age of 15 must provide an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate AND a physical Government-issued photo ID (digital/mobile-issued IDs are not acceptable to sail). Guests 15 years of age and under only provide their birth certificate. You can learn more about the
specifics of travel documentation on the Disney Cruise Line website.
Keep in mind that these guidelines are based on government regulations, so I encourage you to stay up to date with the US State Department website and keep in mind that
Disney Cruise Line strongly encourages all Guests to travel with a passport in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Now, on to some really fun stuff!
Disney cruise vacations have something for everyone in your crew! I love traveling with groups of friends or extended family on Disney Cruise Line. Each member of my party can spend time doing things that interest them for a bit and then we can all meet together for a meal or some fun entertainment or onboard activity. We can be as active or laid back as we want, which makes for a fabulous vacation for everyone!
Kristin, I'm so excited for you as you begin planning your voyage! Let us know if you have other questions along the way.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
