Ahoy Lacey!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have an adventure on the high seas in your future. I am excited for you to sail away with Captain Mickey to the
Bahamas and
Mexico!
If you are a U.S citizen sailing from and returning to the same U.S. port, there are alternative documents you can provide in lieu of an original, valid U.S. Passport. The current
passport and travel documentation guidelines allow you to also board the ship if you provide an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate AND a government-issued photo ID. It is important that if you are using these documents in place of a U.S. Passport that you have the state-issued birth certificate and not the ceremonial certificate provided at the hospital.
If you are traveling with children who are 15 years of age or younger, they can present their state-issued birth certificate and do not need to also have a government-issued photo ID. Documentation requirements are subject to change, so just be sure to check the guidelines again closer to your sail date to ensure you have the appropriate paperwork to check in for your cruise.
Don't forget to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before you set sail to manage all of your plans and reservations, view a schedule of each day's events and the dining room menus during your adventure!
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions! "Sea" ya real soon! Angie
