Anchors aweigh, Michele!
Thanks for visiting planDisney with your important question regarding your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. What a wonderful itinerary you have booked! You will love sailing from San Juan to the USVI and then on to the Bahamas and Disney Castaway Cay, plus a day at sea. We want you to have smooth sailing from start to finish, so I'm thrilled to assist you with your question.
Guests sailing one-way cruises departing San Juan and ending in Fort Lauderdale can use the following travel documents:
- original valid US Passport,
- original valid US Passport Card
- original valid Trusted Traveler Card (NEXUS, FAST)
- OR
original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate AND a physical Government-issued photo ID (digital/mobile state-issued IDs are not acceptable to sail). Children 15 years of age and younger are required to present a state-issued birth certificate but do not need to present a Government-issued photo ID.
Michele, while these
guidelines are listed as current requirements on the Disney Cruise Line website, it is your responsibility to confirm this information on the US State Department's website in case any updates are made.
You are going to love sailing on
Disney Magic! This is the original Disney Cruise Line ship, and she is a fan favorite of Guests. While she is the OG, she continues to feature updated live shows like
Tangled: The Musical. Not only is this show filled with some of my favorite Disney moments, but it also features three new songs created just for this Disney Cruise Line performance. And be sure to keep an eye on Maximus; he is always horsing around!
Michele, please let us know if you have other questions as you prepare for your vacation; we are happy to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
