Hi Gregory!
Welcome to planDisney!
If you purchased date-based tickets (in which case you had to choose the start date of your ticket), I’m happy to let you know that park reservations are no longer required.
If you have a
different ticket type, such as an Annual Pass or Military Salute Ticket, you will need to make park reservations for each park day.
Not quite sure? You can visit the
park reservation page and attempt to make a park reservation. If your ticket type does not need a park reservation, it will not allow you to make one.
Next up,
MagicBands. To make sure your MagicBand is linked to your account, you can check online or on your My Disney Experience app.
To check online, head to
Disney World’s website, hover over My Disney Experience, then click My MagicBands and Cards. Here, you’ll see if you’re eligible to purchase a new MagicBand at a discounted rate prior to your trip and any current MagicBands you have.
When looking at your current MagicBands, you’ll notice that it says Active or Inactive under the photo of the band. If it’s active and your reservations and tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account, you’re good to go! If it’s inactive, you’ll want to activate it by clicking the button below the band.
The same thing goes for looking at your MagicBand status on your
My Disney Experience app. To find the section of the app with this information, click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner, then scroll down to click MagicBands and Cards. Once you click on your name, you’ll see all of your active and inactive MagicBands.
I hope that helps and that you have the best time on your trip! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Jenn J.
