Hey there, hi there, ho there, Alfredo!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your wonderful
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. Are you getting excited about your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!? With just a few days before your arrival, the countdown's almost over! Before your exciting adventure begins, let's chat about the recent changes to
theme park reservation requirements.
Alfredo, as of January 2024, theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets. Tickets that are
not date-based, like those purchased via a third party, Disney Military Salute Tickets, Annual Passes, and select other ticket types may still require theme park reservations. Based on the information you've provided, it sounds like you've purchased a date-based theme park ticket either on the Walt Disney World Resort website, in the My Disney Experience mobile app, or over the phone. (If you selected a date or date range when you purchased the ticket, then you can be sure you have a date-based ticket.) If this is true, you can rest assured that you do not need to make theme park reservations for your upcoming visit! If you aren't sure, you're welcome to call the
Existing Tickets phone line, Alfredo. The friendly Cast Members there will be able to confirm your ticket type and whether you'll need a theme park reservation.
While you didn't mention which Walt Disney World Resort theme park you'll be visiting, I hope you'll have the chance to swing into EPCOT, Alfredo. Right now, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is in full swing, bringing stunning splashes of color and creativity to the theme park! During this unique and exciting festival, you'll experience live and interactive art, delectable dishes and drinks, and dazzling
DISNEY ON BROADWAY performances. It's one of my favorite EPCOT festivals, and one I hope you'll have the chance to experience!
Alfredo, I hope this information helps you feel prepared for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any more questions before or during your trip, feel free to stop back by
planDisney again anytime. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
