Hey there, Michael!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for coming to us with an excellent question about visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. It sounds like you're planning to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth
very soon - how exciting! I just returned home after an enchanting escape to the Walt Disney World Resort and am already prepared to book my next magical getaway... In the meantime, I'd be happy to help
you get ready for your thrill-filled day!
Michael, most standard
theme park tickets no longer require theme park reservations. However, some admission types, like Annual Passes, still require
theme park reservations to be made. If you're an Annual Passholder, you'll still need a theme park reservation to visit the theme parks
unless you're visiting on a "good-to-go" day or it's after 2:00 p.m. on a weekday. Alternatively, on Saturdays and Sundays, you'll still need a theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom Park, even after 2:00 p.m., but that exception applies to Magic Kingdom Park only. For the other theme parks, you don't need a theme park reservation to visit after 2:00 p.m., even on the weekends. Of course, if your Annual Pass is subject to blockout dates, those will still apply.
If you're an Annual Passholder and haven't picked up your most recent complimentary treat yet, I encourage you to hop, slither, or pounce over to Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park before September 22, 2024! You'll be able to pick up your complimentary
Passholder magnet at Chester & Hester's Dinosaur Treasures inside DinoLand, U.S.A. through that date. Don't forget to bring your Annual Pass (or a Disney MagicMobile pass verifying your affiliation) and a government-issued photo ID!
Michael, I hope you've found this information helpful and I wish you a most magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks! If you have any additional questions about the parks or Annual Passholder benefits, you can always revisit us right here at
planDisney. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
