Do I need a park hopper ticket if I go to Epcot in the morning then buy just The Mickeys not so scary Halloween ticket in the evening on the same day?

    Boo to you, Tress!

I’m so glad you followed the Pumpkin King through Halloween Town here to planDisney today. What fang-tastic news it is that you will have the opportunity to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There’s no bones about it, you will have a “bury” good time donning your best costume and trick-or-treating around Magic Kingdom Park.

Tress, you can enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m. on the day of your respective party. This means you do not need to have the Park Hopper Option on your theme park ticket unless you plan on arriving at Magic Kingdom Park earlier than 4:00 p.m. that day. In my experience, arriving at 4:00 p.m. is best on party nights because the lines to check in for the event are shorter at this time. The closer to 7:00 p.m. you arrive, the longer the line gets.

Pro tip: Attend the last performance of the night of Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade. It’s typically less crowded, which makes it easier to find a favorable viewing spot. If you do attend the first performance, find a spot somewhere in Frontierland to view it from. This is the beginning of the parade route, which means you’ll be off filling your bag with more candy while everyone on Main Street, U.S.A. is still waiting for the parade to pass by.

Tress, there may be 999 happy questions here, but there's always room for one more. Please stop back by planDisney for a spell if we can dig up another answer for you before your vacation arrives. Have a spooktacular trip!

    Hurry back,
