Do I need to be in the park for my family and friends to use photo pass? I purchased it with my annual pass and it’s linked to my ticket. If my husband takes the kids without me, will I be able to download their pics?

    Hello Cynthia,

Thank you for visiting planDisney and for reaching out with your question. I'm happy to help clarify how the PhotoPass service works with your Annual Pass.

You do not need to be in the park for your family and friends to use PhotoPass. Since you have purchased the PhotoPass with your Annual Pass and it is linked to your ticket, you will be able to download the photos taken by your husband and kids during their visit. I have purchased it with my Annual Pass, and my kids often go on their own and take photos, which I can easily download later.

Here’s how it works: When your husband takes the kids to the parks, they can have their photos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers. As long as they scan their MagicBands, park tickets, or have the photos linked to their My Disney Experience account, the photos will be accessible. Since these photos are linked to your My Disney Experience account through your Family & Friends list, you will be able to view and download all of the photos they take.

Just ensure that your husband and kids are linked to your My Disney Experience account under the Family & Friends section. This way, any PhotoPass pictures they take will automatically be shared with you.

I hope this information helps, and I wish your family a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort!

    Best regards,

    ~Yael
