i need to get the military discount and don't know how to go about it.

Welcome to planDisney, Miguel! Thank you for submitting your question to us. I am happy to help!

From all of us at planDisney, thank you for your service! The military discounts are a magical perk to our community. There are several military discounts, so let's "dig a little deeper" and discuss!

    • Resort rates: At select Disney Resort hotels, there are certain rooms available with the military rate. Call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to apply this discount. When you arrive at your Disney Resort, you will be asked to present your military ID at check-in for verification.
    • Disney Military Salute Tickets: These tickets are available for active duty, retiree, and 100% disabled veterans, as well as officers in the USPHS and NOAA. These tickets can be purchased at your nearest military base or through Shades of Green Resort. They are available in 4, 5, or 6-day increments and need to be "activated" at Guest Relations booths at the theme parks or at Disney Springs using your military ID. Once this step is complete, you can proceed to the entrance turnstiles and begin your magical day! You will also need to make Theme Park Reservations to enter the parks.
    • Discounted Magic Your Way tickets: These tickets are also available at your nearest military base or through Shades of Green. These tickets do not need to be activated. However, you will need to make Theme Park Reservations to use them. Link your tickets to your My Disney Experience mobile app and make reservations to enter the parks.
    • Memory Maker: If you love photos and want to commemorate your Disney vacation, consider purchasing Memory Maker! It is currently priced at $98 for active duty, retirees, and 100% disabled veterans. (Prices are subject to change).
    • Shades of Green Resort: If the Disney Resort hotel military rates aren't something you qualify for, consider Shades of Green! This AFRC resort is available for military families, and thanks to the Salute to Our Veterans program, Veterans who were discharged from service honorably can stay here in January and September! Check all the eligibility requirements here
Miguel, I hope all of this information helped you today! It is a lot to digest, so if you have other questions, send them to me at any time. You've got a friend in me! Thank you again for stopping by planDisney!

    Happy Planning!
