See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me. And it sounds like it has been calling you, too, Miranda! When you bring your vacation questions to planDisney, there’s no telling how far we will go to find you an answer. I will gladly set sail in quest of information about using a
MagicBand+ on your upcoming sailing with
Disney Cruise Line on the
Disney Wish.
My family sailed on the Disney Wish just last summer! My husband brought his MagicBand+ since he was the only member of our family who had purchased one. He used his MagicBand+ to open our stateroom door and make purchases throughout the ship, plus he enjoyed fun interactive moments in the dining rooms, during fireworks, and in the atrium and kids’ clubs. The rest of us were left feeling jealous, and soon after, each purchased our own MagicBand+. Next time we sail, we’ll be ready!
The only wearable technology that can be used on the Disney Cruise ships are MagicBand+ and
DisneyBand+. You can also use a Key to the World card, which will be provided in your stateroom upon arrival. I usually place my
Key to the World card in a cardholder lanyard and wear it around my neck. The Key to the World card is not quite as convenient as the MagicBand+ or the DisneyBand+, but it still works fine. It is important to remember that while your MagicBand+ or DisneyBand+ are lovely to have onboard the Disney Wish, you might be required to have your Key to the World card and photo ID to embark and debark at Ports of Call.
I hope you love sailing with Disney Cruise Line on the Disney Wish! If we can answer any more of your vacation questions, please bring them here to planDisney. We are always standing by, eager to help.
Happy Sailing,
Angie
