Welcome to planDisney, Jessica! Your
Walt Disney World Resort visit is just a hop, skip, and a quack away. I'm sorry to hear you have allergy concerns about the bedding in your resort, so let's see if we can waddle over like Donald Duck to see what steps you can take to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay.
I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who said the only feathers to be found at
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort would be on Daisy or Donald. She said all the pillows are filled with a synthetic material that mimics cotton, not feathers. She also said there are no comforters used at this resort, so you'll have sheets and blankets that are cotton or cotton-blend. It sounds like you'll be breathing easy, but I have a suggestion.
I called
Disability Services, and their advice was to call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and ask that a note about your allergy be added to your reservation. You can also request that your room be deep-cleaned before your arrival. This is especially helpful if anyone in your party has dust allergies because they move all the furniture and even vacuum the drapes.
My final tip is to stop by the Front Desk when you arrive to alert them about the requests you called in about. It never hurts to double-check. Although deep cleaning can't be guaranteed, I've found that
"Mousekeeping" Service will do everything possible to make your stay magical.
Jessica, I hope you can duck in and have a great stay at All-Star Movies. You and your family can shake your tail feathers! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
