What do I need to do for my kid that is under 3 to get in for free.

    Welcome to planDisney, Edwin!

Thank you for stopping by with your question! I am a mom with a Mouseketeer under three as well, and it's so nice that they are "Guests of Mickey" at this age, meaning they are free! You do not need to make Theme Park Reservations or Lightning Lane reservations when visiting the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, but if you are dining at table service restaurants, you do need to add them to your reservation, even if you do not have a dining plan. This is to ensure the restaurant has enough seating for your group.

When making dining reservations at table service restaurants, look into those that offer buffet or family-style meals. Some of my family's favorites include breakfast at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park and Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT. These two restaurants also have characters that stop by your table, which means you can skip the lines to meet Mickey and Winnie the Pooh at the parks and have more time for attractions and entertainment!

I have taken my two-year-old now on several trips, and I want to share my top 3 tips that will (hopefully!) help you and your family have a successful visit:

    • Baby Care Centers: There is one at each theme park, and they are a great spot for diaper changes, feeds, and if you need to purchase diapers or wipes.
    • Naps: If your little one isn't a fan of stroller naps, return to your Disney Resort hotel and have a respite there before coming back in the afternoon.
    • Strollers: Wrap a brightly colored ribbon or have a nameplate made, so that you can find it quickly in stroller parking areas.

Edwin, I hope all of this information was helpful! Thank you again for stopping by planDisney, and visit us again if you need additional sprinkle dust for your plans. We're always happy to help!
