Need insight please, first time coming to WDW. Traveling with 3kids, ages 11,7,5. We want to stay at a hotel in Disney and want to do all 4 theme parks with the park hopper. Looking to go in June this year.

    Hi Tonya,

Truly all of the Walt Disney World hotels are child friendly, have free transportation to parks, and have interesting themeing, but to narrow down your choices a bit, let me tell you some of my favorites.

First, I'm going to assume that you're traveling as a party of five. If you're traveling as a party of four, you'll have more options. Please write back and let me know.

At the least costly value level, there are "family suites" at the All Star Music and brand new Art of Animation resorts. These rooms sleep up to six guests and include two bathrooms (great for a faster morning getaway) and a kitchenette with a dorm-sized refrigerator, microwave, and toaster.

At the moderate resort level, your choices are a trundle bed room Port Orleans Riverside or the more spacious Fort Wilderness Cabins. The cabins are a particularly unique Disney experience and include a full kitchen.

There are many choices at the deluxe level. You could sleep five in a room at any of the monorail-line resorts: Grand Floridian, Polynesian, or Contemporary. These have super quick access to the Magic Kingdom. My family of five's personal favorite resort is the Disney Beach Club. This is a five minute walk away from Epcot, a 15 minute walk away from Disney's Hollywood Studios, and includes access to an incredible pool complex called Stormalong Bay. Your kids will be in heaven playing in the sandy-bottomed area, floating on the lazy river, or zooming down the water slide.

I'm happy to go into more detail about the amenities of any of these hotels. Just let me know what you need.
