Do we need to include the number of children in our reservations if they will be using a highchair? Does the person whose name the reservation is under have to be present at the meal or can that person's name be given instead?

Hi, Courtney! Yes, even though your little one will be using a highchair, he/she has to be included in the count for your travel party.  This number is used to figure the seating capacity to stay in compliance with fire marshal's laws.  All restaurants must comply, and in the unlikely event of an emergency, everyone counts. No, the person making the reservation does not have to be in attendance at the meal. Just remember to give the name of the person who did make the Advance Dining Reservation when checking in at the restaurant and to listen for that name when you are called. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
