I need ideas on how to tell my 3 girls we are going on a the dream cruise for their bday! While on the ship my oldest will turn 9 (nov 3) & my twins turn 6 (nov1) & it will be Halloween! Also when should I share the surprise? Can hardly wait

    Hi Jennifer!
Your princesses are in for their best birthdays yet as you celebrate on the high seas! Be sure to stop by Guest Services to pick up birthday buttons upon boarding!  Now on to your BIG SURPRISE...I'm all about surprise cruises so I'm glad you sent this question in!  I've plotted for months leading up to our past sailings and all my hard work always has paid off when I see the priceless reactions on my kids' faces when they realized they were sailing with Mickey!  My first surprise was a scavenger hunt around the house with clues wrapped up with items they could use like Disney themed sunglasses, new bathing suits, goggles, and flip flops.  I had enough clues and presents for each child to tear open the same amount, and the last clue were "tickets" that listed the sail date, ship name, and itinerary!  I hid the gifts all around the house including in the dryer, refrigerator, under the bed, and the last clue was waiting on the front porch.  The second time I surprised the kids, I made a video montage on my computer of past cruise pictures (you can use any vacation photos) and the last slide contained the information about our next sailing!  Another idea is to wrap up a large box and place a Disney themed balloon filled with helium so the balloon floats out when the box is unwrapped and opened.  On the end of the string, write out the cruise information for them to discover.  The last time I surprised my kids, I decorated our mantle with Disney plush, Disney balloons, and made a huge banner with our cruise information.  I was able to keep this surprise until the day before we left so they were blown away when they noticed our new mantle decor!  It is really up to you on when to reveal the big news!  My kids always look forward to counting down to our vacations so if you don't want to keep it to the last minute, tell them a few weeks before.
Good luck, Jennifer!  If I can assist you again, please let me know!
