I need help understanding how to manage onboard credits. We have been given $50 per passenger totaling $200 in onboard credit. How do we ensure the $50 is divvied up so each guest gets access to their portion?

Welcome back to planDisney, Gina! Your adventure on Disney Cruise Line is almost here. I hope you and your family are getting excited.

I like purchasing onboard credit for myself to stay on budget or for family and friends as a gift. There is usually a card in your stateroom on embarkation day showing that you have onboard credit. Whether you swipe a Key to the World card or tap a DisneyBand+ or MagicBand+, each person's account will receive the credit purchased for them. As long as each $50 increment was purchased in each Guest's name, the onboard credit will be assigned to each Guest. If the $200 total was purchased under one person's name, the credit would not be split among the 4 of you.

Adults can use their onboard credit in one of the nightclubs or one of the adult-exclusive restaurants. The entire family can make purchases in the shops for a souvenir to take back home. You will be able to track spending on the television in your stateroom or in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. You can also visit Guest Services for a list of purchases.

I hope that helps clear things up as you set ready to sail on the high seas. If you have any other questions, come back to visit planDisney.

    Bon Voyage!
