Need help!! We have reservations for the Luau diner show at 5:15 and tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party the same night. Not sure how much of the party we will miss if we keep the Luau but it's the only day that we can do both. Is it worth it?

    Laura,

So with the 5:15 pm show you are not likely to make it to the Magic Kingdom before 7:30 pm. Probably more like 8:00 pm.

If it was just another night in the Magic Kingdom, I would stick to your plans to go to the Luau. But you are spending good money for tickets to the party, and already you are missing at least one hour of the party, more if you were planning on an early arrival to the park.

In my case, with two young daughters, I would skip the Luau so as to take full advantage of the extra expense. But if it was just me and my wife, I might keep the Luau reservation, as we could take advantage of the later hours more than if we had little kids in tow.

So while you would not miss the most crucial parts of the party, if you are going with kids you might just being doing too much. And even if it just adults, you may still feel rushed and not get the most out of your travel dollar.

BOTTOM LINE: Unless you are a group of night owls, I would reschedule the Luau so you can enjoy both without feeling rushed.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
