Hey there, Cristhofer! Welcome to planDisney, I am so excited that you want to begin planning your family's first vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! You've got a friend in me! I remember taking my daughter on her first trip, there is no better feeling than seeing your child's eyes sparkle the moment they meet and see their favorite characters, see Cinderella Castle for the first time, or eat their first Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar! It's like reliving your childhood through their eyes. I am so excited for you! You will have the best trip ever!
Cristhofer, I noticed you have a son and a daughter! How wonderful. My family is big on character dining, we love getting the chance to see characters right as we're eating a meal, it saves you time in line at the parks to see them there, and gives your MORE time to hop on rides or see a cavalcade going by! Advanced Dining Reservations can be made 60 days ahead of your scheduled arrival date, you have the option to either do it online or by calling a
Cast Member at 407-939-5277. I personally recommend doing both options at the same time, in the event that a certain time at a restaurant you're wanting isn't appearing on the website, a Cast Member can try for you. It definitely has helped me snag some of those hard-to-get reservations! I recommend a breakfast at
Chef Mickey's located at Disney's Contemporary Resort! We took our daughter there and that is where she met Mickey Mouse for the first time! The food is great, and the characters make it even better! I also recommend dinner reservations at
Garden Grill Restaurant (one of my family's must-dos!) at Disney's EPCOT Park and
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. In both of these restaurants, you will be able to find my pals Mickey Mouse and Pluto, and some other friends! For your princess, I recommend dinner at
Be Our Guest Restaurant! You will have the chance to see Beast roam through the dining room of his castle, and don't forget to try the Grey Stuff (it is delicious!)
As far as flights, I recommend flying in a day ahead before starting your adventures in the theme parks, that way it gives you and your family time to relax and enjoy the resort you are staying at. I recommend turning that day into a pool day, or visiting Disney Springs, a one-stop-shop for dining and shopping! My family does the bulk of our souvenir shopping at
World of Disney, which holds the world's largest Disney collection of merchandise! You'll find everything there!
Cristhofer, I hope my recommendations have helped today! If at any time you have any other questions, feel free to ask me! I will be more than happy to help guide you and provide any advice I can. I hope you and your family have the jolliest holiday at Walt Disney World!
