I need help planning a 3 or 4 day adventure (4 nights hotel, 3 days in the parks) for My son, his wife, Their 6 year old daughter and 1.5 year old son and myself. I would like two separate rooms. I would like to have them in a downtown Disney view.

    Hello there, John!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for reaching out to us with an excellent Disneyland Resort vacation planning question. We're excited to hear you're working on planning an enchanting escape for your family to enjoy! The only thing better than a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth is experiencing it alongside your loved ones. I'd be glad to help you bring your Disneyland dreams to life!

John, Disneyland Resort vacation packages (including a hotel reservation and theme park tickets) may be booked on the Disneyland Resort website or over the phone. (If you prefer to book your vacation by speaking to a friendly Cast Member, you may call the Vacation Packages phone line for assistance!) To book your vacation online, start on the Disneyland Resort homepage and select your dates and travel party details in the "Build Your Vacation" banner, then click "Find Rates." Based on the information you've provided, I'm happy to inform you that all three fabulous Disneyland Resort hotels show availability at the time of writing! For a fantastic view of the Downtown Disney District, consider booking a Downtown Disney View room at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Not only will your family have prime access to shopping and dining in the Downtown Disney District, but they'll also be able to utilize direct access from the resort into Disney California Adventure Park!

Once you've selected a Disneyland Resort hotel, the next step will be choosing your theme park tickets. At the time of writing, Guests ages 3 and over must have both valid theme park tickets and theme park reservations to enter the Disneyland Resort theme parks. (That means the littlest Mouseketeer in your group won't need theme park tickets!) Guests may purchase either One Park Per Day tickets or Park Hopper tickets which would allow them to "hop" between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day during eligible park hopping hours! For a four-night stay, I think a three-day ticket would be a great choice, John. My family loves to plan exciting Character Dining experiences on our arrival and departure days when we don't have theme park admission. The little ones in your travel party would be sure to enjoy the antics and atmosphere at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel and/or Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet Storytellers Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa!

John, I hope this information has assisted you in preparing for a magical and memorable family getaway at the Disneyland Resort. If you have any additional planning questions, you're always welcome to revisit us at planDisney anytime. We're here to help you maximize the magic during your vacation to The Happiest Place on Earth!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
