Hi Jennifer! Thanks for the great question! Since it's your first day and, depending on your arrival time, you likely won't have time for a full park day, I'm going to recommend spots outside of the theme parks.
1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian is a great spot. Cinderella's happily Ever After Dinner is a delicious buffet where you'll visit with Cinderella, Prince Charming and her step mom and step sisters, who are so much fun.
Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge has great food and tons of fun, including things like doin' the Hokey Pokey. I won't spoil it by telling you more.
Downtown Disney has lots of great dining spots to choose from. My daughter is a huge seafood fan, so she loves Fulton's Crab House. Our first night tradition is heading to the Raglan Road Pub, where she loves to watch the Irish Dancers. There's also T-Rex Cafe and the Rainforest Cafe.
If your daughter's an animal lover, you might want to head to the
Animal Kingdom Lodge. Sanaa is a fantastic spot, and Boma, the buffet, offers up all kinds of traditional African dishes, as well as some American stand bys.
Hope this helps Jennifer! Happy dining!
