Hello , I need a Disney resort that has an oven in the kitchen as my son has dietary restrictions I’ll need to cook for him . Thank you

    Hi Kellie,

You will be happy to know that Disney World is one of the easiest places in the world for someone with dietary restrictions to eat. The chefs at each restaurant are incredibly accommodating and they have tons of safety measures in place to keep you safe. We have dietary restrictions and find it easy to navigate the theme parks and resorts while still feeling like we get to indulge. If you have concerns, check out the guide for guests with dietary restrictions. I would also consider giving them a call to discuss any specific concerns you have that they can address ahead of time.

That being said, I completely understand wanting to have the ability to cook your food. For people with dietary restrictions, this often makes you feel safer and you get to eat exactly what you want. If you are looking for a room that features an oven, you will need to refine your search to Disney's Deluxe Villas.  Most of the 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom villas will feature a full kitchen that includes an oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The studio rooms will not have an oven or the needed kitchen facilities to prepare your own meals. These resort locations also typically have a store in the lobby where you can purchase basic kitchen goods like milk, eggs, and bacon.

We like to have a little extra space when we travel and often eat breakfast in our room before heading out for the day. As a result, the Deluxe Villas are our favorite way to vacation at Disney World. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa tend to have some of the largest rooms and are also fully equipped for cooking and dining in your room. Both of these resorts only have access to bus transportation and are a little further out from the theme parks than some of the other options. The biggest upside is that they tend to be a little more cost-effective than some of the other options in this resort category.

When a convenient location and quick transportation to theme parks is my priority, I stay at the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian ResortDisney's Riviera Resort, or Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. All three of these resorts boast fabulous theming, exquisite dining options, some of the best pools at Disney World, and great transportation options that have you in the magic quickly!

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
