Do we need to have clear backpacks and fanny packs

    Deborah,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

No, you do not need to use clear backpacks or fanny packs at Walt Disney World. Your own everyday bags should be just fine!

Whenever you are headed to a Disney theme park, they have a bag check security area just before you enter the park. A security guard will ask to look inside your bags, with you right there, just to check on contents. They are fast, efficient, and friendly. These checks are typically right after you hop off your bus to the park, just before clearing the turnstiles, though guests staying at the monorail line resorts have their bag checks back at their hotels before getting on the monorail.

    BONUS TIP
Did you know that Disney also allows you to bring in your own coolers? They must be 24" x 15" x 18" (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm), or smaller. They cannot use loose or dry ice, but you can use ice packs. You can check the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules for more info on this and other general rules on what you can, and cannot bring in to the parks.

Write me back if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
