Do I need to use my chase Disney credit card to get the 10% off or can I just show them I have it and get 10% off? I have Disney gift cards I want to use at the parks and was trying to figure how to coordinate that and the 10% discount

Hiya, Linda! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you decided to be our guest today, and I'll be delighted to help with your vacation planning question.

I too am a Disney Rewards Visa cardholder who dearly loves a Disney discount, so this question is really speaking to me, Linda! Anytime our family is getting ready for our next trip "Home" to Walt Disney World Resort, I like to check out the most up-to-date Cardmember benefits to make sure we don't miss out on any savings or other perks.

To receive your Cardmember discount, which currently ranges from 10% at certain shopping and dining locations to 15% on select guided tours and even 20% at Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Co. (all subject to change), you do need to use your Visa card for the actual purchase. It's also important to know that even if your card is linked to a MagicBand+ or Disney MagicMobile Pass, you must have the physical card with you to verify your Cardmember status.

Linda, I also accumulate Disney Gift Cards at our local discount department store to save a bit of money for our Disney adventures (my Disney math is always on point!) and I use these strategically at locations that don't offer the Disney Visa discount. With a little advance planning, you'll be able to determine whether the Visa or the gift cards will be the most economical option!

Don't forget about one of my favorite perks of the Disney Visa card--the exclusive Character Photo Opportunities. These are currently offered at EPCOT, where some classic Disney pals greet Guests, and at Disney's Hollywood Studios for an awesome Star Wars character encounter. Photo Opportunities are available for up to 6 Guests, and be sure to bring a photo ID along with your Disney Visa card for entry. The times for these experiences may change from day to day, so I recommend checking at the location on the day of your visit to confirm the hours of operation.

Linda, I hope this information is just what you need for your planning purposes to maximize the benefits of your Disney Visa card and have a wonderful vacation. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please reach out anytime if we can help with additional questions.
