Hiya, Donna! Welcome to planDisney! It’s great to have you here, and I’m happy to help answer this great question!
You are likely the original purchaser of the
Disneyland Resort tickets linked to your account. I’ve been in that same situation and have had multiple tickets showing my name in my
Disneyland app.
The great news is that, with a few exceptions, an unused ticket does not require a name change in your app, although it can be helpful for keeping track of which ticket belongs to whom! A ticket is officially assigned to a Guest when their photo is taken during their first scan into a Disneyland theme park.
If you would like to update the name to keep everything organized in the My Tickets & Passes section of the Disneyland app, it’s easy to do! As the original ticket purchaser, you can update a ticket name by calling the
Tickets phone line at (714) 781-4636, or by using the Disneyland app. In the app, make sure you are signed into the account associated with the ticket purchases, tap the menu icon with the three lines, and scroll down to "Chat with Us." Please note that once a ticket has been used, the name cannot be changed. Also, residency-based special offer tickets require each Guest to present a government-issued photo ID to verify eligible residency.
Donna, each member of your party can add all the tickets to their own Disneyland app, which makes
Lightning Lane selections easy and convenient! Just be sure to select everyone in your group after they have scanned into the theme park when choosing a return time. We recently visited with a group of 18, and it was so helpful to have a few people in charge of securing Lightning Lane return times for everyone!
I hope your visit is filled with magic and wonder and that you create memories to last a lifetime! If you have any other questions, come on back, we are happy to help!
Magic awaits!
