Do I need to buy a meal plan for my 2-year-old? We are getting the Dining Plan for everyone else and plan on doing at least one character meal. I have been told she is free but then read she eats off our plates or we need to buy her a meal. Confused!?!

Hey Jenn, You are going to love the Disney Dining Plan! The Disney Dining Plan has allowed our family to better budget for our food spending and the ability to experience restaurants that we may not have normally tried otherwise. The Disney Dining Plan is unavailable for Guests under the age of 3, but they may share from an adult plate at no charge, or a meal may be purchased from the menu. The price of the meal will be added to your bill. Personally, I have always had my children that were under three-years-old share off of my plate at Table-Service restaurants. I have found the portions to be plentiful and have never been questioned about them sharing. I did find that I needed to order my little ones a meal off the children's menu at some of the Quick-Service dining locations. I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions about the Disney DIning Plan or your upcoming trip! I would love to help! Best wishes for a scrumptious and Magical Walt Disney World vacation!
