What do I need to bring to Disneyworld. We are staying at old key west.

    Welcome Home!

This is such a great question that our friends at Disney Parks Blog recently posted a fantastic video showing what to pack for your next Disney Parks vacation. I have a bit to add, so let's jump right in.

Numbers one and two on my packing list for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation are a sense of humor and an open mind. After months of planning for the most perfect family vacation, I can almost guarantee you that some things won't go exactly as planned, and that's wonderful! We have managed to stumble into some brand new experiences as a result of a missed plan. Relax! Know that this is a perfect place to create beautiful memories. Plan until your heart is content, and then roll with it a little.

Next, you will certainly need a pair or two of ultra comfortable shoes. You know, the kind that keep that spring in your step, blister and discomfort free. Repeat after me, "I will not bring brand new shoes to Walt Disney World Resort." It never ends well. This is not the place to break in those crisp, white shoes. Grab ol' faithful out of the closet and get ready to put in some miles. Along the same lines, there are some fantastic blister bandages on the market now and it never hurts to stash some in your bag. My final tip for the toes is a product called Body Glide, found in most sports stores. A quick swipe of this brilliant stick over any problems areas on your feet or elsewhere, and you will be back out there smiling through your favorite attractions in no time.

Finally, I like to order groceries before my arrival so we have snacks, sunscreen, additional laundry soap pods and bottled water waiting for us so we can get right to discovering the magic.

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
