Welcome aboard, Robert! Your family must be so thrilled to set sail for the very first time with Captain Mickey! Non matter how many times my family sails with Disney, each experience just gets more magical, so I am am excited for you to experience
all that is included in a Disney Cruise Line vacation too!
No need to bring your own beach towels on the ship because towels are provided on the
pool deck. If you'll be visiting Castaway Cay, Disney's amazing private island, you'll also receive towels as you disembark the ship on the island to use for the day. Take a few extras that day as you arrive on the island, because you'll want them if the first few get sandy on the beach! If you've booked any Disney Port Adventures that include water activities you'll also receive towels onboard when you check in for your Port Adventure's meeting time.
The only reason you'd need your own towels is if you are going into a port on your own without a Disney Port Adventure and plan to do water activities. A little tip on that, though. If you think you'll need your own towels for a solo adventure, consider buying new Disney Cruise Line themed beach towels onboard in the
gift shops. It'll be a souvenir and a practical item to use, and you won't need to take up space in your suitcase on the way there. They have some really great ones! My family and I always know which towels are ours back home at our neighborhood pool - they're all Disney Cruise Line beach towels we purchased onboard! If our kids ever leave one behind at a friend's house, they get returned pretty easily because our friends all know we're the Disney Cruise people! Ha!
I hope that helps as you prep for this exciting cruise, Robert!
