What do I need when my booking window opens on the cruise?

    Welcome Aboard, Rita!

I can already feel the excitement in this question! You must be approaching that magical moment when you can log in and put the finishing touches on your Disney Cruise Line vacation. Let's get you all ready to go.

First, let's review when your booking window will open. Provided your cruise fare is paid in full, you can begin booking your cruise activities according to your Castaway Club Membership Level:

First-Time Guests: 75 days prior to sail date

Silver Castaway Club Member: 90 days prior to sail date

Gold Castaway Club Member: 105 days prior to sail date

Platinum Castaway Club Member: 120 days prior to sail date

Pearl Castaway Club Member: 123 days prior to sail date

Concierge Guests: 130 days prior to sail date (by contacting the Shoreside Concierge Team.)

Now that you know when to have a warm beverage ready to help you stay awake, and your fingers stretched and nimble, it's time to go when the clock strikes midnight. The only thing that you need, really, is a plan.

Simply sign in to "My Reservations" on the Disney Cruise Line Website. Next, select "My Plans." From here, you can select by day and then which category you are interested in booking such as Port Adventures, Spa & Fitness, Adult-Exclusive Dining, Photography packages, "it's a small world" nursery, and Onboard Fun.

My experience, Rita, is that there are a few offerings that do fill up rather quickly, so I would prioritize those. For example, The Cabanas at Castaway Cay are oh-so lovely and oh-so tricky to snag. If you are interested in a private, relaxing beachside escape, definitely go here first! (You will find them under Port Adventures on your date at Disney Castaway Cay.) Other experiences that I would prioritize are Beverage Tasting Seminars, Royal Court Tea, Princess Gathering Meet-and-Greet, and Adult-Exclusive Dining. After you have reserved those, go back to a day-by-day plan to secure your other adventures.

Since vacation planning is all about countdowns, keep in mind that you have two remaining after this: Online Check-in Day, and CORONATION DISNEY CRUISE LINE VACATION DAY!

Online Check-In begins 30-days before your sail date. Again, log in to "My Reservations" on the Disney Cruise Line website and follow the prompts to enter your citizenship documentation, travel plans for before and after your sailing, credit card information for on-board payments, youth registration, and passport-style photos (you can take these right on your cell phone!) for each Guest on your registration. Then, you will be able to select your all-important Port Arrival Time.

All that will be left to do at that point is Dream!

I hope this was helpful, Rita. Come back and visit us here at planDisney with any other questions you have. We are here for you!

    Adventure is out there,

    Sally
