Ahoy, Shakira!
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question about the brand-new
Disney Destiny. I’ll actually be on the same sailing as you next month, and I’ve been obsessively watching every bit of media preview content I can get my hands on. Two of my friends,
Sami and
Dustin, are onboard this week, and I’m living vicariously through their Instagram stories until I can see it all myself!
Now that two of my “kids” are full-grown adults, I’m very excited to explore the
lounges with them. My must-visit list is already embarrassingly long: The Sanctum, the spooky-cute Haunted Mansion Parlor, the fabulously dramatic De Vil’s Lounge, and (the one I'm looking forward to the most) the pirate-themed Cask & Cannon. Each one looks extremely immersive!
The good news is that you do not need reservations for bars and lounges onboard the Destiny. They are all first-come, first-served spaces, so you can wander in whenever the mood strikes. The only reservations you’d make on the Destiny are for adult-exclusive dining like Enchanté or Palo Steakhouse, which are not lounges.
One place that’s definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a quieter scene is
The Rose, a Beauty-and-the-Beast-inspired bar that sits right at the entrance to Palo and Enchanté. It’s perfect for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail (or both... no judgment from me!). No reservations are needed there either. Just keep in mind that The Rose shifts to a 21+ venue after 9:00 PM. In fact, most lounges onboard will eventually transition to adults-only spaces later in the evening, though the exact time can vary from venue to venue. You’ll be able to find the specific hours for each location in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you’re onboard.
I hope this helps, Shakira! And who knows… maybe we’ll cross paths at Cask & Cannon. Aargh!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
