Welcome back, Kristi!
Are you excited to begin a fun summer and then wrap it up with a magical adventure at sea with Disney Cruise Line in August? Planning is half the fun, so you still have a couple of months to enjoy planning all the fun
Port Adventures and getting excited about all the magic you'll experience both onboard and in the ports of call!
As you arrive to check in at the departure port, before you board the ship for the very first time, you'll receive your Key To The World Cards - one for each family member. These will act as your tickets on and off the ship in each port, your stateroom key and your charge card for any onboard and
Castaway Cay purchases. One card takes care of it all! Many guests choose to wear a lanyard with an I.D. pocket on the bottom to hold their Key To The World Card, as you'll want to always have it with you. Bring your own lanyard or purchase a cute Disney Cruise Line themed lanyard onboard in
Mickey's Mainsail shop. So, the Key To The World Cards is one thing you'll need to rebound the ship (and you'll need to scan it as you exit the ship). In addition, Disney asks that adults have their government issued I.D. like a drivers license or passport, to show as they board the ship in each port too. Now, I'll tell you, I've not usually been asked to show that each time, but it is required to have with you, so be sure to have it on you along with your Key To The World Card before you head off to have fun in each port of call.
Of course, to board the ship the first time from the home port, you'll need all the
required travel documents, so be sure to check out the specifics on that page for your exact itinerary and be prepared with those as you arrive.
Please stop back over the next couple of months with more questions as you continue to plan for your cruise, Kristi! We're happy to help!
