Hi Ashley, and welcome to planDisney! There’s no better place to celebrate a birthday than at the Most Magical Place on Earth. So I’d be honored to be your Fairy Godmother today and help sprinkle pixie dust on your daughter’s special day!
For a girl who loves all the princess things, a day at Magic Kingdom would be the practically perfect choice! I’ll never forget visiting Disney World for the first time as a kid and seeing Cinderella Castle at the end of Main Street, U.S.A.
To kick off the day, I’d recommend making a morning reservation at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for your daughter to receive a royal makeover. Once she’s been transformed into an official princess, the celebration can begin!
Next, look for PhotoPass photographers in front of Cinderella Castle so you can get lots of pictures of your daughter in her royal best! And if you’re interested in more time, you can book a
Capture Your Moment session.
Then head to lunch at
Cinderella’s Royal Table to enjoy a delicious meal inside the castle with a few Disney Princesses. It’ll be an unforgettable lunch where your daughter will fit right in with the royals! There are other opportunities throughout Magic Kingdom to meet princesses, but the character meal is a great way to have quality interactions in a more casual setting.
Afterwards, your daughter can find more royal friends in the Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire show and the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Finally, I love to end the day by watching Happily Ever After over Cinderella Castle. I’d recommend booking the
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Pre-Party. This was the perfect low-stress way to watch the fireworks with my 4-year-old nephew. You’ll start at Tomorrowland Terrace with an incredible spread of desserts. After enjoying the treats, you’ll be escorted to a private viewing area for the fireworks.
If you’d like to add a second day of fun, I’d suggest EPCOT, where you can dine with the princesses at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and meet many other royals around World Showcase, like Snow White, Belle, and Jasmine.
Your booking window has already opened for character dining and Enchanting Extras, like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, so I’d make those reservations as soon as you can on the Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app. If they’re fully booked, Hakuna Matata! Other guests are always changing their plans, so I’ve had good luck snagging cancellations in the days leading up to my visit.
One last thing I wanted to mention. If it’s in your budget, adding a stay at a Disney resort hotel is a great way to extend the magic after you leave the theme parks. For your princess-loving daughter, I’d look at the Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or the Little Mermaid-themed rooms at Art of Animation Resort.
You can book a vacation package that includes both the Disney resort hotel stay and theme park tickets on the Disney World website or by calling the
Tickets and Hotel Reservations phone number.
I’m wishing you and your daughter a magical birthday celebration next month! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
