If the need arises how do I cancel a dining reservation?

    Hi Charlene!

It sounds like you're starting a magical Walt Disney World Resort visit today, and I couldn't be more excited for you. There's so much to experience, from attractions and entertainment to Character interactions and incredible dining, you are sure to have hours of fun ahead each day!

If you've overfilled your plate with advance dining reservations and need to make room for other activities, you can cancel with a few quick steps in the My Disney Experience app. Tap the feature menu (☰) icon at the bottom-left of the screen, then click "My Plans" toward the center of the page. From there, you should be able to review all dining reservations during your visit, day by day, by clicking the appropriate date at the top of the screen. Locate the reservation you need to cancel, click "Get Details" when it pops up at the bottom of the screen, and then proceed to the reservation specifics. You'll see your time details, party size, and confirmation number at the top of the screen and options to "Cancel, Find on Map, or Modify" just below.

Click "Cancel," and you'll be prompted with a final confirmation: "No, Go Back" or "Yes, Cancel." Keep in mind that canceling will immediately return your reservation to the pool for other guests to snag. This is why we always recommend checking for hard-to-get reservations throughout your visit, as plans change and availability can open at any time. Note that most dining reservations must be canceled at least 2-hours before to avoid any fees, but certain dining experiences have different modification/cancellation windows, which you can review here.

If you end up canceling Table Service meals and find yourself with a "rumbly in your tumbly" as our pal Winnie the Pooh often says, you can feast at Quick Service locations across the parks and resorts (many available via Mobile Order). You can also check out the 2026 Disney Eats: Foodie Guide for the EPCOT International of the Arts, which is available through February 23. I visited with my daughter recently, and we snacked our way around EPCOT all day. I loved the options at Fictional Victuals near Disney Traders, and she enjoyed everything at Figment’s Inspiration Station at The Odyssey.

I hope this helped, Charlene! If we can answer any additional questions during your visit, please come back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
