Need some advice...trying to decide between GF and Poly for next trip. Have stayed at Poly before and loved it, esp. the convenience of being on the monorail, but thought the kids (3 & 6) might enjoy the new AIW water area at GF. Thoughts on the two? T

    Hi Alyssa!

I absolutely love both of these deluxe resorts and can understand your dilemma!

Personally, while I absolutely love Grand Floridian, I think that kids will really get a kick out of Polynesian. The pool theme is really wonderful and kids get a kick out of the volcano. The restaurants at Polynesian are also some of the best in all of Walt Disney World. Ohana has a wonderful character breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. Ohana also has a delish all-you-care-to-eat family style meal at dinner that kids and adults love.

Polynesian also has a fun Hawaiian theme and kids love to receive the lei when the check-in. The Tonga Toast at Capt. Cooks is also wonderful.

You are also only a short walk away from Grand Floridian, so you can still enjoy their pool as well. Grand Floridian also has wonderful options for kids, including the 1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast and My Disney Girl Perfectly Princess Tea Party. However, between the two, I think kids will love Polynesian.

    Magically,
    Stacy
