Hi Anna,
Thanks for stopping by with another question. As a father of four children under the age of eight, I've taken my kids to Walt Disney World as infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. My oldest son was actually 2-years old when he first visited Disney World. From my experience, most of the
Slow Rides at the theme parks should be fine for your son's age.
The Magic Kingdom is my favorite park to visit with my kids. I would suggest spending an entire day, or even two, visiting. Magic Kingdom Park is home to classic Disney attractions like "it's a small world" and Dumbo The Flying Elephant. During our family's most recent visit to Magic Kingdom, we spent most of our time in Fantasyland and the recently expanded
New Fantasyland. Storybook Circus is home to Dumbo and Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station, which is a great place to cool off on a summer day. Your son may also enjoy seeing Winnie the Pooh and friends on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
The wonderful folks at Disney have also created a special area on WaltDisneyWorld.com intended for families
Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones. On this page you can discover tips and special offers designed for families with little ones. There is even a "Preschool Parent's Guide to Walt Disney World Resort" that you can download!
Please
let me know if you have any other questions before your summer visit. I enjoy helping families with little ones plan their magical vacation.
Have a magical day!
Bob
