Need advice on restaurants that will take last minute reservations or no reservations . My parents may be joining our family, but we won't know until close to the trip. Would also be great not having to stick to a rigid schedule. Staying at Ft Wilderness.

Hi, Deanna!  I've had good luck with some of the restaurants for last minute reservations, even over the holidays, but it really depends on when you are planning to go.  If your plan includes a holiday time, you may want to make sure that you have at least one or two dining reservations that are must do meals so you don't miss out.

In the theme parks, I've had good luck last minute at The Plaza at the Magic Kingdom, sometimes Tony's Town Square at the Magic Kingdom, Restaurant Marrakesh and the Biergarten at EPCOT, and the Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Table Service locations at Animal Kingdom are somewhat limited, but you might be able to snag a last minute Yak and Yeti.

The hotels also have some wonderful restaurants, and for a last minute bite to eat, you should try The Wave at the Contemporary Resort, the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club, Turf Club at Saratoga Springs Resort, and the Maya Grill at the Coronado Springs Resort.  Check out Raglan Road at Downtown Disney also.

You may find openings when you walk up to any location, so don't completely dismiss every other restaurant.  You never know when you might luck into a reservation!

Have a great time planning, and if you need more help, you know just where to find me!
