Need advice. Changed res to arrive day earlier. On DDP & looking for dinner ideas near or in MK. Already have ADRs for Whispering Canyon, Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace. Can't get ADR at Ohana or Castle. Other suggestions for me, DH, DD11, DD8 ?

With older girls, it might make a very special family meal to eat at one of Disney's signature dining restaurants. There are several excellent signature dining restaurants in the Magic Kingdom area including California Grill at the Contemporary, Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge, and Citricos and Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian. These are gourmet meals, but there are also children's choices on the menu. Disney is a great place to introduce kids to fine dining. They are very welcoming and patient with children and kids get to practice their manners, as well as having a delicious meal. Of these restaurants, Artist Point is my favorite. The cedar plank salmon is fabulous and my girls love the featured children's dessert. This is a puzzle made out of white chocolate. It comes with a palate of icing "paints" and a small brush with which they can color the puzzle. Fun and yummy!

If signature dining is not your thing, then you could try The Wave. This is new restaurant at the Contemporary which features American food with an emphasis on healthy choices. Another option would be Tony's Town Square, an Italian restaurant on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.

Hope you have a great trip!
